How do I know where to respond to disasters?
I follow the national news programs, 24-hour news stations and The Weather Channel for updates on current weather and storm conditions and prospective storms. The loocal news is effective for immedaite area disasters and events that don't typically make the national news. Once I know the general area ot designate a town I will make my base, I find my way to local fire station or emergancy management comman post so I can get the full scope of the rescue and recovery needs.
